ABOUT ME

I grew up in Michigan with my mother, father, older brother, and a dog named Tugger. At the age of 18, I joined the U.S. Army as a Medical Logistics Specialist to serve my country. Upon discharge under honorable conditions, I struggled to discover what I wanted to do with my life. Careers shifted from manufacturing to the supply industry, then I found joy in the simplicity and toughness of working in farming and the challenge of heavy equipment operation. After moving cross-country, I knew that I wanted to continue serving my community as well as my country. I put myself through the New Mexico State Fire Academy first, followed by the Federal Fire Academy with the Kirtland Air Force Base Fire Department.

After my resignation from the fire department in late 2022 as well as attending college full-time for the last 2 years of fire service, I chose to pursue academia full-time. Now, I no longer work 48-hour shifts, acting as the subject matter expert/team lead for four separate programs within the FD, conducting volunteer work, and coaching youth soccer. The breath that I took from my career in fire granted me the opportunity to achieve a bachelor's in business administration with a concentration in DoD Project Management and a cumulative GPA of 3.7 at American Military University. I aspire to earn an MBA in the near future and continue to expand my knowledge and experience.

I wish to continue to pursue a career in business, especially pertaining to the Department of Defense or other prestigious agencies. I am confident that I have the drive, level of responsibility and accountability, and hands-on approach it takes to be an asset to any unit whether as an individual working with little instruction or a team member for the benefit of mission essential needs.

A Passion To Serve

A thriving community is one built by service & dedication

I have contributed to volunteering as a working group member for Women in Fire (Global), presented a video reading a children's book at the request of the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce for the Albuquerque Reads benefit, volunteered with Albuquerque Little Libraries collecting and distributing donated books, acted as a contributing member with the Volterra Community Securities Committee, functioned as Team Lead for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and provided preparation and output annually for the Kirtland Air Force Base Fire Department Operation Holiday Cheer.

What I Enjoy Most

In my personal time, I enjoy reading, journaling, hiking, swimming, spending time with my two dogs, Lola & Olive, adopting house plants, and continually learning about politics, psychology, sociology, and science.
